Data Purge Policy
We protect your data while we have it. We destroy it completely when we don't need it.
Overview
KLO Intel handles sensitive personal data as part of our exposure assessment services. This policy defines how we permanently and irreversibly delete all client data when an engagement ends, a client requests deletion, or retention periods expire.
Purge Triggers

Client request: Any client can request immediate data purge at any time by emailing hello@klo.ie or through the client portal.

Engagement end: When a paid engagement concludes, data purge begins automatically after a 30-day grace period.

Snapshot expiry: Free snapshot data is automatically purged after 90 days.

Retention limit: No client data is retained beyond 12 months after the last active engagement, regardless of other factors.

Purge Verification
Upon completion of a data purge, clients receive a written confirmation (Purge Certificate) documenting: the date of purge, categories of data deleted, systems from which data was removed, and the identity of the person who authorised and executed the purge.
Exceptions
The only data retained after a purge is: (a) anonymised, aggregated statistical data that cannot be linked to any individual, and (b) records required by law for tax, accounting, or regulatory compliance purposes, which are retained for the minimum legally required period.
437+ Data Broker Coverage
As part of our KLO Scrub service, we submit opt-out and deletion requests to 437+ data brokers on your behalf. While we cannot guarantee that all brokers will comply (as they are independent third parties), we track all requests and follow up on non-compliance. Our monitoring service continuously checks for re-listing.
